British Gymnastics Teachers' Award for Trampolining: Part Two

    The Part 2 course is only available to holders of the Part 1 Award. It includes more complex skills, notably various forms of somersaults. This Award is recognised as qualifying teachers to teach somersaults, and the moves required for both competitions and top GCSE practical grades. Suitable for teachers of Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.

    • Revision of Safety and Code of Practice
    • Build up skills to front somersault including piked shape
    • Build up work for back somersaults including piked and straight shapes
    • Shaped body landings
    • Aerial twisting
    • Full twisting to and from body landings
    • Cradle, cat twist and half turntable
    • Mechanics
    • Competitions, routine construction and tariffing of skills

    2 day course £375

    Course runs 9.00am – 3/3.30pm each day. Price includes British Gymnastics resource pack and certification, lunch and refreshments. In the event of you needing to cancel a place on this course, please note we require 4 weeks notice. Price excludes VAT.

    John Wotherspoon

    John is a British Gymnastics high performance coach with over 40 years experience coaching to National and International Level. He's a BG tutor and assessor with 30 years experience. John is a former Physical Education Teacher, Headteacher and Assistant Director of Education for a London Authority.
