British Gymnastics Teachers Trampoline Refreshers Award

    This one day course will enable teachers to refresh the practical skills gained during a British Gymnastics Teacher’s Trampoline qualification and is recommended to be taken every three years to maintain an effective level of coaching and best practice. You will already have achieved a British Gymnastics qualification in one of the following; Teachers’ Trampoline Part 1 or Part 2, a Level 2 Trampoline Certificate or British Trampoline Federation qualification, and will be coaching in a school environment.

    There will be refreshers on:

    • Safety and Code of Practice including unfolding/folding trampolines
    • Warm up
    • Basic kipping technique
    • Body landings
    • Shaped and twisting jumps
    • Basic combinations
    • Half twist to and from body landings
    • Swivel hips and roller
    • Simple sequence construction
    • British Gymnastics proficiency award scheme
    • Mechanics
    • Build up skills to forwards somersault including piked shape
    • Build up work for backwards somersaults including piked and straight shapes
    • Shaped body landings
    • Aerial twisting
    • Full twisting to and from body landings
    • Cradle, cat twist and half turntable
    • Competitions, routine construction and tariffing of skills

    1 place £219 (+ VAT)
     

    Course runs 9am – 3/3.30pm. Prices include refreshments, lunch and British Gymnastics resources. In the event of you needing to cancel a place on this course, please note we require 4 weeks cancellation notice.

    John Beer was an International trampolinist before taking up a coaching career which produced two World and European Individual & Synchronised Champions. He was formerly Technical Director of British Gymnastics, National Trampoline Coach, and Great Britain coach at three Olympic Games.
