The popularity of Sevens is reflected in the growing number of tournaments at different age groups. Many Rugby coaches who have never previously been involved in this game and being required to coach it. There is always limited time to prepare for these tournaments. This course acknowledges the realities of this situation, and focuses on developing a style of Sevens play which is adaptable to each team's strengths. This includes a defensive system that is easy for players to understand, as well as opportunities to exploit advantages in attack.

Course Leaders
Dan Cottrell
Dan has been coaching rugby in schools, clubs, and at representative level for over 30 years. He is head coach of Bristol Schools U18s and centre manager for the Bristol Bears Junior Academy. He is editor of Rugby Coach Weekly, which has been running since 2003 and has a worldwide following. He played first-class rugby for Bristol and Bath and was director of rugby at Cranleigh.
