The Director of Rugby in an Independent School

Face to Face Event

with Neil Rollings

Dates & Venues

Rugby remains the highest profile game in many schools.  Historically, it has been the sport that most boys play.  However, these programmes are now under pressure from safety concerns, staffing difficulties and threats from other games.  Despite this, the pupils who are keen, remain as enthusiastic as ever. The role of Head of Rugby has shifted considerably, as a result of  these new factors, presenting new challenges.

This new seminar is aimed at current, and aspiring, Heads of Rugby.  It will consider the contemporary priorities of the role, and outline how schools can provide RFU-compliant, inspiring Rugby programmes that can thrive in the current climate.  Potential responses to existing pressures will be outlined, together with creative approaches to maintaining the benefits of the game.
