Ollie Willars

Ollie Willars

Ollie Willars plays as a defender for England and Great Britain and made his international debut in December 2012 at the Champions Trophy in Melbourne. He has since made 130 combined International appearances for England & GB. 

Ollie started his hockey at his local Club Loughborough Town, then moved to nearby Beeston at the age of 14. His playing career at Beeston coincided with the Clubs most successful period, where they won the English Premier League 3 times and went on to represent England in the European Hockey League. He has played in 2 Commonwealth Games, winning Bronze Medals in both and has also played in 3 European Championships achieving in Bronze in 2017; he has recently returned from the European Championships in Antwerp, where hopefully England will have medalled.  

Ollie has coached at various Clubs and schools initially for MT13, then latterly on his own; he continues to Coach at his local Club Marlow. 

He is an avid cook and an ardent follower of Nottingham Forest.
