This is a course for teachers of non-swimmers, and children learning to swim. Through extensive video analysis, this session will offer a breakdown of the components of modern learn to swim coaching techniques, as recommended by Swim England. This will enable teachers to be confident that their lesson content is both effective and contemporary.

Course Leaders
Sam Helliwell
Sam works within the Learn to Swim team with the national governing body for swimming, Swim England, as a Technical Aquatics Manager. He works closely with industry experts to provide a world-leading Swimming curriculum, which provides a learning pathway all the way from birth, into school years and through to pre-competitive. Sam works with a wide range of lesson providers, from international schools, national operators to independent businesses. Sam continues to provide resources that support swimming teachers delivering Learn to Swim lessons across the UK and overseas.
David Rayner
Dave Rayner is a Technical Aquatics Manager within Swim England's Learn to Swim Team. He boasts over 25 years of experience within the aquatics industry, dedicated to enhancing the quality of swimming lesson programmes. In addition to his substantive role at Swim England, Dave remains actively engaged as a swimming tutor, delivering courses and workshops on a regular basis. Furthermore, he dedicates significant time to poolside coaching, contributing to the development of aspiring swimmers within his local swimming club with unwavering commitment and expertise.
