Teaching Primary Curriculum Dance

With Eve Murphy

Dates & Venues

Dance is often an area that teachers find challenging to teach. This course is a supportive, fun and engaging day that provides non-specialists with the knowledge, confidence and teaching ideas required to deliver a high quality Dance curriculum within PE lessons. It is also suitable for those leading extra-curricular clubs.

The emphasis of the course is on utilising modern, fun and creative approaches to Dance. This provides a vehicle for developing the whole child, through a focus on the physical, social, cognitive and emotional domains. It will be delivered through a combination of practical and theoretical work.

    • National Curriculum requirements
    • Dance content and purpose
    • Structuring a Dance lesson
