Staffing the Co-Curricular Programme

Zoom Webinar

With Neil Rollings

Dates & Venues

Co-Curricular activities are central to the culture and business case of most schools.  There are long-established traditions and expectations of provision.  However, at a time when facilities for these activities have never been better, it is ironic that staffing these activities is more complex than ever.  A  perfect storm of factors is making many staff less generous with their discretionary effort, and historic expectations of teachers are being challenged.

This new webinar is aimed at Co-Curricular leaders, and others responsible for staffing the co-curricular programme.  It will address the issues that schools face, consider industry trends and case studies and present a framework for strategic evaluation future provision.

    1. Understanding the perfect storm
    2. The shifting dynamic of supply and demand
    3. Contractual expectation v discretionary effort
    4. Legitimate curriculum extension expectations
    5. The particular problems of sports provision
    6. Avoiding a culture of adding
    7. Evaluating future requirements
    8. Reward and recognition models
    9. The future of co-curricular staffing
