    This course prepares teachers to confidently coach modern individual and team defence. It is intended for coaches with some knowledge of the game, who wish to improve their understanding of all aspects of Netball defence. It will also provide practices to develop the ability of players to win back the ball in the rear third, and to adopt a range of defensive strategies. These will be applicable to all ages and abilities of players, making the course especially suitable for coaches and teachers of the Under 11 to Under 15 age range.

    Tamsin Greenway

    Tamsin Greenway is the current Director of Netball at Super League franchise, London Mavericks. She was previously the Head Coach of the Scotland National Netball team, leading the team at the 2023 World Cup. In a distinguished playing career, she was a member of the England teams that won bronze medals at the 2010 Commonwealth Games and at the 2011 and 2015 Netball World Cups. Between 2006 and 2018 she played in eight Netball Super League grand finals for three different teams – Team Bath, Surrey Storm and Wasps. During this time she won six Netball Super League titles as a player and/or coach. She has additional experience in the ANZ Championship with Queensland Firebirds. Tamsin works with Sky Sports, and won the ‘Pundit of the Year ‘ award at the 2023 Broadcast Sport Awards.
