Improving penalty corner strategy is the most straightforward way of scoring more goals. This course provides an insight into the most successful routines for Attacking Penalty Corners. It will consider the numbers of players in attacking positions and their roles and responsibilities in each routine. Careful analysis will break down the individual elements of the strategy and examine the ways in which common defensive tactics and be overcome.

Matt Taylor
Matt Taylor is the current head coach of Nottingham University, who won the BUCS championships in 2014-15, 2021-22, 2022-23 and 2023-24. He was previously head coach of Beeston HC in the Men’s Premier Division, winning three championships between 2010-2014. He has also helped developed 80+ junior players gain presentative honours for the National Age Squads as well as having coached 45+ senior Internationals. As a player Matt won seven Championship titles with Cannock HC.
