    This webinar will cover how best to prepare, deliver and moderate the NEA elements of both GCSE & A-Level PE courses.  The session will focus on:

    • The demands of this practical unit: what’s being assessed, and how
    • Selecting appropriate practical options and how to deliver these options within a two or three year course
    • The specifics: how to present practical evidence to meet the assessment criteria
    • Running a moderation day: learning from others mistakes, with top tips to ensure a smooth running and purposeful day

    Pete Bignell

    Pete has been teaching and examining A-Level PE for over 22 years. He has  overseen the development of the specification, the annual assessment process as well as visiting many schools and moderations across the country to ensure the national standards are applied. Pete has been head of department at 5 schools across both the Independent and State sectors and was Director of Sport at Abingdon School prior to his present role as Assistant Head (Sport) at Rossall School; he is certainly a subject expert and trainer.
