ED Excel news for GCE and GCSE Teachers

by ICE Education

This update has been produced to provide you with further information about the development of the GCE and GCSE PE qualifications for September 2016.

GCSE and GCE Physical Education development 2016

Some of you may be aware that the GCE and GCSE Physical Education qualifications are being re-developed, for first teaching in September 2016. We would like to gather as much feedback as possible from teachers to inform the development of the two qualifications.

Please note: The A level will be linear, with all assessments taken at the end of the 2-year course. AS will be a standalone qualification (i.e. will not count towards the A level) but the AS content can be co-teachable with Year 1 of the A level course. The course structure has been designed so that the AS content is the same as the Year 1 A level content

If you would like to give some feedback please click on the following links

The closing date for feedback is Friday 20 June.

We have also set up a Parsons Panel.  If you register to the Pearson Panel you will be kept up to date with the developments of the qualifications and it will be an opportunity for you to give feedback and opinions on the qualifications and products.  Click  if you would like to join the Person Panel.

If you are not a teacher and would like to join the Pearson Panel you should insert 'Pearson' and a Dot (.) as the centre number, and enter PE as the Subject.
