Ideal Base for Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Expeditions in The Lake District

by ICE Education

New Ing Lodge offers an ideal base for Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme expeditions in the eastern Lake District.

It is 5 minutes off the M6 at Junction 39.

The Lodge offers plenty of camping space as well as single and twin rooms (some ensuite) and dormitory style rooms.

Suggested routes for Bronze and Silver awards are available, and the area is particularly suitable for Bronze training. Within a short drive, or a 4 mile walk along the Wainwright Coast to Coast path is the route to Kidsty Pike and High Street.

Assessors and training from qualified and experienced teachers can be provided.
